greeting and salutations,

seems fitting that a dead cover band would look for an audience on a GD forum... folks share fishing photos, pet stories, favorite ales, their exit strategies for iraq and love of all things wilfred brimley, and yet this cat gets gang tackled and piled-on because he came on a little strong with a link to his band? kinda reminds me of heathers.

like, whatever...

Ian,

I think if The Kindest was not spamming this place a month or so ago with links to his myspace or facebook or whatever it was site (many of the posts were deleted by the moderator), people would not have piled on.

I personally have no problems with going see a GD cover band, but I really don't understand why a fan would want to stream or download the music from one when you have 5000 opportunities to listen to the real thing right here.

As for me, I'm at the point in my life where if the "cover" band doesn't have at least one original member of the band in it, I really couldn't give much of a rat's ass. Sorry, DSO fans, it just doesn't do it for me...no matter how talented the band might be. And if the band is that good, why insist on so many covers? Write your own damn songs and see if you can get by on them alone.

Sorry if I sound bitter, but I am so sick of this spamming shit. We get it already. You have a band. You like the band. You want us to like the band. We don't. Move on.
